The Healing Ministry of the Oratory of the Little Way
We listen, love, and pray for all those who come
seeking the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
-- The Oratory Mission Statement

The entrance to The Oratory of the Little Way. When one enters the Oratory, he/she feels the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Oratory is a word meaning a place of prayer. The Little Way refers to St. Therese of Lisieux, who believed in doing little acts of kindness, which we believe, bring healing.

The risen Christ reigns above the main altar in the Oratory Chapel. We believe healing is accomplished by the grace of God through the Holy Spirit. As we lay hands on supplicants, praying in the name of Jesus, we believe the prophesy in Isaiah 53:3 "by His wounds we are healed."

Following the time spent in an individual prayer room, supplicants come into the Chapel where they sit on the bench facing the main altar and are surrounded by the prayer team that prays for their individual needs.

Opposite the main altar is a statue of Saint Therese of Lisieux. It is an area for quiet reflection and prayer for anyone who comes here for ministry.

The side Chapel at the Oratory is at the right of the main altar. Incoming prayer requests are placed on this altar and are prayed for daily by the Director and prayer teams.

The prayer room is where supplicants meet for Individual Prayer Ministry (IPM), to share their needs and concerns with a trained Oratory prayer team.

The School of Healing Prayer is taught in the classroom by trained ministers. The classroom is also available for learning experiences by incoming retreat groups.

This dining room table represents another 'holy space' where founder, Father Ben Priest, celebrated Holy Communion. Currently, we gather at this table on Tuesdays after the healing service for lunch and fellowship. Additionally, The Board of Directors gathers around this table to plan for the future of the Oratory. For all who come to the Oratory, the table represents a place of celebration.

The living room is a gathering place for retreatants and other visitors to the Oratory.

Upstairs in the Oratory are a series of rooms similar to the above room, where overnights are scheduled for persons attending retreats or persons needing a quiet place to explore their spirituality.

The Hermitage is a solitary retreat house on the grounds. It is a private room in which to seek God through meditation, rest, and prayer.

The gazebo at the Oratory is a pleasant screened room where visitors can gather to chat, pray, visit or just spend a quiet afternoon. It is also available for small wedding ceremonies by arrangement with the Director.

The prayer walk is a lovely, outdoor, garden-like atmosphere for walking and talking with the Lord.

Everyone gets a kind, personal touch when they call the Oratory. Charlotte takes the call for a special prayer request, and then places the request on the altar in our side Chapel.
