The Healing Ministry of the Oratory of the Little Way
We listen, love, and pray for all those who come
seeking the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
-- The Oratory Mission Statement

Moderator:

 Rev. Dr. Gail Paul:
The Reverend Dr. Gail Paul, Director of the Oratory of the Little Way in Gaylordsville will moderate the panel discussion. Her work as a former prison chaplain, as a United Methodist minister, and leader in healing prayer ministry of The Oratory reinforce her conviction of the pervasive hunger for inner peace across the spectrum of our society. She is a retreat leader and co-author of Disregarding the Shame, Reaching out for the Joy: A Healing Retreat for Survivors of Sexual, Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Abuse. With degrees and study at N.Y. Theological Seminaries, Mary Knoll Seminary, and Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion she has discovered that her training in interfaith settings has enriched her life.

Panelist:

Michael Brown:

Singer/Songwriter Michael Brown has energized many Oratory programs with his contagious musical style. Directing and accompanying his first choir at age 12, Michael went on to perform his own song, “Dancing to Your Music”, on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand; and is currently directing the Gospel Choirs of Salisbury, Hotchkiss, and Westover Schools. Michael will bring both his music and his personal insight to our Inner Peace program.

Bishop Alex McCullough:

Rev. Alex McCullough came to pastor the Congregation of the Messiah in Scarsdale, New York following a lifetime of music in Big Bands like the Glenn Miller Orchestra, performing for Sammy Kaye, Peter Duchin, Rosemary Clooney, Ethel Merman, the Jackie Gleason Show, and President Nixon’s Inaugural Ball. He is also a Chaplain in the International Order of St. Luke the Physician and a frequent guest speaker at Oratory healing services. His humorous outlook on life is in part a result of the inner peace that shines through his preaching, teaching and
healing ministry.

Jack Gilpin:

Well known for his theatrical roles on and off Broadway, as well as throughout Connecticut and New England, you will also recognize Jack Gilpin from his television roles on “Kate and Allie”, “The Cosby Show”, and “Law & Order” as well as his roles in over 30 feature films. It was because of his real life role as a student of Theology, however, that he was called to the stage of our Panel Discussion on finding and maintaining personal peace.

Rabbi Jon Haddon:

Rabbi Jon Haddon has been the spiritual leader of Temple Shearith Israel in Ridgefield for the past 21 years. He also serves as Chaplain for the Ridgefield Police, as Chairman of the Danbury Hospital Pastoral Advisory Committee, as Director of the School of Sacred Music for his alma mater, and gives tireless support to promoting good relations among the cultures and religions represented in our area. As a Rabbi and a Cantor, he brings a unique voice to interfaith understanding.
